Class Times:
 
Full Day: 8:30 am - 3:35 pm  
Morning Class: 8:30 am - 11:45 am
Afternoon Class: 12:20 pm - 3:35 pm

Continuing Education offers academic programs for grade 6, 7 and 8 students that address student needs in Literacy and Numeracy. To be able to register for the programs listed below, students in grades 6, 7, and 8 must be recommended by their school for these programs.

Broadview Public School, 535 Dovercourt Ave., Ottawa

Jack Donohue Public School, 101 Penrith St., Kanata

Steve MacLean Public School, 4175 Spratt Rd., Gloucester 

Summerside Public School, 2350 Portobello Blvd., Orleans

Transportation:

Yellow school bus service is available in the morning and afternoon to students attending these programs, and bus passes may be provided to students. Students attending AM classes may be picked up in the morning but must make their own way home at noon. Students attending PM classes must arrive on their own but may be dropped off in the afternoon.

Important:

  • Students are required to attend the full summer school program (July 3 - July 25). Vacations and holidays must not be taken for the duration of the program.
  • Students may choose to attend for a morning or afternoon or a full-day. Morning class: 8:30 am - 11:45 am. Afternoon class: 12:20 pm - 3:35 pm.

  • All programs are offered based on enrollment. Continuing Education may cancel classes due to low enrollment in Literacy or Numeracy.
