Academics
GMS paves the way towards
lifelong learning, through the implemenation of a rigourous
curriculum that is constantly evolving to meet the demands
of a knowledge based society. The staff are constantly upgrading
ther skill sets to offer students a rich academic experience
and to instill a true love of learning. This includes a
variety of academic opportunities to enrich the interests
of students as they prepare for the move to secondary school.
Volunteers from the community share their knowledge and
skills while working with staff and students in a creative
and supportive environment.

Many activities at GMS benefit from
the behind the scenes support of various administrative
efforts. Some of these events include Health Bar, Band Boosters,

Our Arts and Drama program continues

avenues to showcase their talent and broaden their skills

Throughout the year, GMS athletes
participate in various team sports at the local and regional
levels. We have had a very successful Athletics program
over the years and we are recognized by other schools for
our excellence. We spend a lot of time working on skills
and helping students develop healthy fit lifestyles. Parent

Information Technologies are a growing
part of our everyday lives. At GMS we offer students the
opportunity to develop and implement their skills in a variety
of contexts to support their learning and prepare them for
the world of work. The Internet has become an invaluable
source of support to the implementation of the curriculum
and is widely used by our students. We also use a variety
of multimedia technologies to maximize the students' learning
experiences.

Design and Technology is a robust
addition to the program we offer our students that allows

Literacy is pivotal for student success
and has a special focus here at GMS. We offer students a
variety of opportunities to develop, practice and enhance
their skills. Our staff is regularly in-serviced to learn
the most effective means to cultivate this crucial component
of our students' learning process. Our library has a vast
collection of resources that expands every year to meet
the needs and interests of our student body.
